“The Gathering” is a love letter to stone and sky - to the great majesty and power of this land. I feel this most when I have traveled high up in the Rocky Mountains, so high that the air is thin and the wild winds blow and my view reaches to the far distance. Endless peaks reveal themselves and I must see them all! I am so small and the land is so incredibly big and I respect it deeply. There are stories here - the growing and shifting sky, the gathering storm, the symphony that it plays with fearless mountains. I stay to witness as much as I can, then I must go back to softer, greener places. The memory lives on in this painting. ~Silver
