I photographed the wildflower that inspired this painting several months ago on trail in a little mountain town in Colorado. It was a bright sunny day full of adventure, and I though that the flower's wide, accepting petals perfectly represented how I felt.
I've dreamt of moving to the mountains my entire life, and even getting a taste of the big sky country filled me with hope that I would some day live in this incredible environment. Just a few months later, I made the big move. I live in the mountains!! This painting represents that there are bright days ahead and that we should never stop dreaming.
